The 2009 JVDA Championships are complete and the tournament was a resounding success.  On Monday, the JVDA had record setting attendance for the 17 & 18 Open Championships with 6,531 in attendance for the 17 and 18 Open Championships in Freedom Hall.  We would like to thank many people for helping make this year's event so special:  Mizuno, Molten, Little Diddy Photos, NetLynx Sports, MavRen Marketing and Productions, Player’s Edge, AVCA, JVDA Board of Directors and friends, Head Official Donnie Goodwin and his crew, all the officials and score monitors, and especially all our participating teams who made this a most exciting junior event.

We crowned 13 champions at the 2009 JVDA Championships.  They are:

Regarding MaxxAthlete Webcasts: MaxxAthlete will be sending out an email to all attendees with a grid showing day, time, division, court and team name. They will be able to click through and order DVDs online.

The JVDA will attempt to set a record for attendance on June 29th as we encourage everyone to attend the 17 Open and 18 Open Championship matches in Freedom Hall.  No other matches will be taking place so everyone can share the excitement.  Over 19,000 seats will be available to watch the Championship matches.  Freedom Hall is located adjacent to the exhibition halls where the main tournament venue will be located.

The AVCA and JVDA will be joining forces to provide a Girls' Talent Showcase, held in conjunction with the 2009 JVDA National Championships in Louisville, Ky.!!! The showcase is a recruiting event designed and developed for uncommitted and unsigned high school athletes, who will graduate in the years 2010, 2011 and 2012, to showcase their talents in front of volleyball coaches of all levels from around the country.

The Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) is excited to announce the 17 & 18 Open Divisions for the 2009 JVDA Championships in Louisville, Ky., will start on FRIDAY JUNE 26TH! These two divisions will begin pool play on Friday afternoon, time to be announced, and finish play on Monday June 29th. These two divisions will finish with thrilling Championship matches that are now scheduled to be played in Freedom Hall which is a facility that can seat over 10,000 spectators.

All other divisions of the 2009 JVDA Championships will begin on Saturday June 27th and conclude on Tuesday June 30th.
